Dr. King was an extraordinary man who performed extraordinarily in his quest to see his dreams realized and vision fulfilled. Although he did not live to see either, millions are beneficiaries of his legacy. A leader isn't selfish with rewards available to a selective few but to a corporate many.
Although Dr. King dreamed "that one day, his children would hold hands with little white boys and girls -- not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character"; his dream was for all of mankind to be treated equally. He envisioned an America—a world where everyone could sit together at the table of brotherhood and honor the second commandment: "Love you one another."
Dr. King new the power of visioning. You can be certain he didn't decide casually and haphazardly he would bring about change. He could see the changes before they actually became reality. They were so real to him until he was willing to die for them.
Are you a visionary? Do you dream big? Are you taking the necessary steps to realize you dreams? Are you willing to forsake all else and do what God has called you to do? Consider these steps to help you:
Name your goal and be specific
Make your goal a present statement of fact
Create a present-tense vision of your goal
Write a present-tense response to this question: What is the overall message your life is saying to the world?
Put it all together
Do not be surprised if you sense God's Spirit fully supporting you in your dream. Invite Him into the process and ask Him to speak to you about your vision. Dr. King did. He prayed: “Use me, God. Show me how to take who I am, who I want to be, and what I can do, and use it for a purpose greater than myself.”
God answers prayers. He makes Himself known when we seek Him. If you need help with your dreams and visions, consider Christian Life Coaching which has helped scores of people realize their dreams.

Nicely done, Avis. Have I told you lately how proud I am to have you as my sister - by birth and the blood of Jesus? I am.
